Tuesday Night Band is a recurring youth club activity at Prout Bridge Youth Club, taking place every Tuesday evening. It offers young people, 8 - 18 year olds, a welcoming space to come together and make music in a supportive, social environment.
The session is designed to help young people build musical skills through practical, hands-on band practice. Young people are encouraged to try instruments, explore rhythm and melody, learn songs, and develop their own sound as part of a group.
Alongside musical development, Tuesday Night Band places a strong emphasis on confidence, teamwork and creativity. Members work together to listen, collaborate and contribute ideas, helping them grow both individually and as part of a group.
The club provides a safe and inclusive setting where young people can express themselves freely and take part at their own pace, regardless of prior experience. Supportive leaders guide the group to ensure everyone feels valued and able to participate.
By combining music-making with friendship and positive youth work, Tuesday Night Band helps young people develop important life skills while enjoying a fun and engaging weekly activity. It is a space where creativity is encouraged and every voice can be heard.
The Tuesday Night Band are known as Phoenix and they perform regularly at community events and school fetes.
